“Abundance is not something we acquire. It is something we tune in to.”
To celebrate the completion of our 200-Hr teacher training program, we have a ceremony on the beach and are to wear all white. I’ve seen pictures of previous classes and can’t wait for ours. It will be the first time for me and yoga on the beach. In the morning, nonetheless. That’s what I’m most excited about, I believe. The sun, the sand, the waves, the breeze … I’m smiling just thinking about it all.
So with less than a week before the big day, I went out in search of white pants. I had been looking and looking and finally found some online. So I ordered them. BUT they’re on backorder. So off to Plan B… hustle through the stores. Previously when I had looked through the mall, there were no white pants to be found. But today I found an abundance! Perhaps it helps that it’s springtime now and all the new stuff is out. Practically every store had them. But I needed some that had enough give in the fabric for yoga. That was key. I couldn’t see myself in one-legged downward dog, or eka pada adho mukha svanasana, in a pair of white jeans. Not very comfortably, anyhow. So store to store I went. It was a gorgeous day, so I didn’t mind walking all over the place. And with their music being played along the walkway, it was even more enjoyable. I simply sang and daydreamed as I shopped.
It’s kind of bittersweet, this closing of another chapter in life. For the past nine months, I’ve been in the midst of this yoga goodness ~ I don’t want it to end. But as one closes, another opens. I feel a great sense of accomplishment and have had so much fun that I want to do it all over again. So perhaps I can, in a way. Maybe the 500-Hr is in my future… Great thing is, though, the Den is not going anywhere. I can go any time and roll out. Love that place.
And love my white pants. They are super comfortable and simply fabulous. I had originally wanted linen but stumbled upon these. Now I can do one-legged downward dog and much, much more. So excited! Yoga meets Beach and me.
Til next time, loves.
